Not so long ago, in 2012, we found ourselves listening to Christian Hjelm’s first solo abum titled “Før Vi Blev Lette” and with that one he proved he had a lot to offer – as if his contribution as frontman of Figurines wasn’t enough.
“I Disse Dage” is the first single of his second studio album and has great potential to be the perfect soundtrack of the summer, with its bright and cheerful vocals and catchy lines: “Der er så mange ting som ikke kan blive til noget, vi prøver lidt igen men det er så svært at sige noget”*. Yes, even in difficult Danish. (By the way it’s also a good way to pick up the language).
The album will be out on 25. August 2014. And we certainly cannot wait to hear more of Christian Hjelms’s brilliant pop songs.
(*which can be translated as “There are so many little things that cannot become anything, we try a little more but it is so hard to say something”)
