Men of Polaroids - Following the Sun

Oh, what a good start of the week! On Monday, 10. November 2014, Danish indie-rock duo Men of Polaroids finally released their debut album called “Following the Sun” and of course we already took a listen to this!

Mathias Elrød Madsen and Djarn Kargin just presented a first impression of their album a couple of weeks ago, when they came up with the first single “Darkness” and we surely knew what we could expect from them on their new record – 7 lovely tracks, which perfectly combine guitar-driven music, catchy folk melodies and a strong need to close our eyes and start humming to the little episodes of hope, melancholy and inner struggles. No surprise, both gained their experience in other projects, before they luckily decided to team up!

All this is enabled by Mathias’ powerful voice, accompanied by Djarn’s instrumental parts and off-voice as well. Good team, boys!

Actually we’re sadly wondering, why they just put 7 tracks on “Following the Sun”, but without any doubt both set the focus on quality instead. Especially “Darkness”, “In Time” and of course the name-giving “Following the Sun” are definitely the crème de la crème of their musical piece of art.

If you’re already true admirers of these boys from Copenhagen, go and visit your local record store and buy “Following the Sun” for cozy autumn evenings! You can also find the album on Spotify and iTunes.
