Bottled In England ain’t no ordinary band. Not only do they play drum’n’bass LIVE (and with the most amazing power and passion), not only do they mix this genre with different styles, not only do they invite great artists to collaborate with, BUT they also have a talent to find unique creators for their music videos.
The one to “Never Be Apart”, a single from BIE’s debut album “BOY/LOST”, was made by Rasmus Nyboe – the duo’s photographer – and Jacob Youngblood. Both gentlemen have done a seriously great job playing with the viewer’s imagination.
There is something addictively disturbing in the pictures of old sculptures in the fog. The majesty, the lack of movement, which seems to be a movement anyway, an increadible clearness of the pictures and the pride hidden in them – it all gives the video clip to “Never Be Apart” an amazing uniqueness. This is a great example of how you can make a motion picture… well, almost without any moving parts at all.
