Lis Er Stille - Empirical Ghost album cover

Just when I thought I had heard all coming from the Aarhus-based rock quartet LISERSTILLE, well, I was mistaken. They are back with their sixth studio material, titled “Empirical Ghost”. The digital version of the album came out on 24. April and the vinyl release will be available on 26. June 2015.

During the past years their music had been shaped by a uniform mold, a constant that characterizes them. With this I do not mean to say that their work is boring or predictable, because that’s the last thing that comes to my mind when I think of their music.

Unlike their previous releases,”Empirical Ghost” does not follow the same pattern throughout all the record. With this one they decided to explore new territories with 10 songs that demonstrate how a band can reinvent itself and continue to evolve and astonish with their creations without losing its essence.

Every single song has a singularity that will take the listener into a deep altered dimension, all of a sudden you’re in a journey in space, you pass through a circus atmosphere, you enter a videogame plus many other possible scenarios. All this originated from the reminiscent Bowie-alike vocals mixed with cosmic synths, straight-forward drums, unique bass-lines and forceful guitar-riffs.

Those places and where your inventiveness takes you, you could be drowned in while the sounds pass by. I’ve said it before and I say it again, let your ears melt with the symphonic sounds of Denmark’s best and most underrated rock band.

Outstanding tracks: “This Wonderful You”, “Zenith”, “Precognition”.

You can get the “Empirical Ghost” album through Amazon or Bandcamp.
