Kira Skov and Marie Fisker – two mysterious Danish artists, full of grace and the cold outstanding beauty, joined forces and created a new project called The Cabin Project. Today, 5. August 2014, their debut song saw the daylight… or we should say: saw the gloomy, rainy morning with single rays of sunshine coming from the cloudy sky. As the song fits that kind of weather better.
“Come Rain” announces the duo’s upcoming debut album (premiere: 1. September 2014). It’s a down-tempo, cold and melancholic composition with a heavy atmosphere and a lot of mystery and sorrow hidden between the tunes. The two voices, Kira’s more soft and hitting the high notes and Marie’s deep and piercing through, mix in a beautiful dance of vocals. The duo is accompanied by the tearing sounds of cello and guitar, which give the song a very melancholic touch.
“Come Rain” disarms you for a few minutes. You can’t pretend being strong and confident anymore, all your sorrows and longings are now outside. No need to fight with your feelings, just let it all go. Then, when the song ends, you can go back to the life behind a mask of confidence.
Something tells us that The Cabin Project‘s debut album will be just perfect for the long Autumn evenings…
