The mother of all Danish festivals is just around the corner and at the end of this week, more than 100.000 music lovers will start taking over Roskilde’s livestock show location and the spacious fields around, turning the festival area for the time being into Denmark’s fourth biggest city: Roskilde Festival will kick-off this coming Saturday and take place between 25. June and 02. July 2016.
Good because Danish is thrilled to get back on the festival grounds, munch burgers, nachos and other tasty food options, drink cans of sunkissed beer, and listen to great music alongside a happy bunch of thousands of other music lovers. Check out 5 reasons why we cannot wait for Roskilde Festival 2016 below.

1. The hardest decision of the day is “what to eat next?”
Gringos Nachos, Buggi Burger, hotdogs, pizza, flæskesteg, …whatever kind of food can kill your munchies, you’ll probably find it at Roskilde Festival!
2. You get to see Danes completely loosing their Scandinavian seriousness
Roskilde Festival is the living proof that even the most serious, stylish vikings can loosen up.
3. The weather god is (usually) a huge fan of Roskilde Festival
Yeah, we’ve all heard about the disastrous floods in 2007, but other than that the weather is usually pretty decent (often even too sunny!) during Roskilde Festival.
4. The camps at Roskilde Festival are serious business
Forget the boring standard tent! At Roskilde Festival you can sleep in Mordor’s dark tower, in a fake zoo or whatever other unique location you can dream of – and these awesome camps are serious business.
5. And did we mention the music?!
Besides the well-balanced mixture of international stars, upcoming acts and different genres, this year’s line-up is FILLED with great Danish bands that shouldn’t be missed. More about that soon on Good because Danish!
