In the end of this month Good because Danish will once again be lucky to go to Aarhus for SPOT Festival. The 2015 edition takes place in the wonderful Danish city between 30. April and 3. May. This annual celebration of music and film brings a lot of amazing artists to Aarhus – and the musical line-up is once again filled with some truly great names.
Names, that the GbD Team knows and likes and whose music we shared on the blog before, but also rather “untouched” ones – fresh blood, big hopes and maybe future favourites?! We are especially curious to see these upcoming acts live and we hope they will be new, hoped-for discoveries, delivering awesome tunes for us to write about!
In this year’s series of “pre-SPOT posts” we’d like to focus on these new names – our hopes for SPOT Festival 2015. Suiting to the year, our recommendations will contain 15 acts that we find interesting and worth checking out. You can find the first 5 of them below. See you in Aarhus!
FAE
When we heard this duo’s intriguing first song “RUOK”, we were already sold. Now we want more!
Make sure to check out FAE’s music on SoundCloud.
KENTAUR
This new Danish project seems as mysterious as the mythological creature of the same name. We will see if Kentaur’s music is as other-worldy!
Stay updated about a first release on Facebook.
SLAUGHTER BEACH
We hope that Slaughter Beach’s show at SPOT Festival will give us the final push to finally write a proper post about the band for the blog.
Listen to the noisy dream-rockers on SoundCloud.
ANTONIO GRAM
We are excited to follow Reptile Youth’s former half Esben Valløe starting anew from his electronic roots!
Listen to Antonio Gram’s first track “Demons” feat. Emma Sehested & ELOQ on SoundCloud.
NICK SWAY
He looks like a young Mike Jagger or The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard, his voice reminds of the latter, too. Even his name sounds British – and yet, we’re especially curious about the “Danish part” of upcoming wunderkind Nick Sway!
Check out his first single “Out of Sight” on Spotify.
