If you thought that the sweetest duet you’ve heard was Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman’s “Something Stupid”, then you obviously missed the debut single “Do Not Ask” from Shy Shy Shy!
However, to be honest – Astrid Cordes and Simon Kjeldgaard from Shy Shy Shy have nothing really in common with Nicole and Robbie. Except of the fact that the first ones create an as charming duo as the second ones!
The Copenhagen band’s song, released on 1. September 2014, is a delicate, smooth composition reaching to the roots of folk and pop mixed together with gentleness.
“Do Not Ask” contains a certain amount of the sound that is longing back to music of the 60’s and 70’s (read: the guitars and whistling). Despite that, Shy Shy Shy aren’t a total “retro-band”. They somehow manage to create a feeling of freshness with their music. Their debut single is like a light breeze coming from the sea in the time of the Indian Summer. Before Autumn will totally conquer the world with coldness and wind, Shy Shy Shy’s “Do Not Ask” can keep you in the summer mood for a little while longer.
