CPHDOX2015-2-1The 13.edition of CPH:DOX will take place from 05. to 15. November 2015. Besides more than 200 films, the festival’s calendar also features several other kinds of events. There are numerous music documentaries, concerts or audio-visual-installations in it – a part of the programme that we are especially excited about!

Since we (unfortunately) cannot see everything, we had to make a choice and here is our little selection! Find the second part of our recommendations for CPH:DOX 2015 below and make sure to also check out the first part HERE.

“Nyt Blod: Blaue Blume”

The quartet Blaue Blume turned the Danish music scene upside down ever since they first released snippets of their avantgarde pop music. Anja Pil Overbye’s documentary shows a young band “that wants to create something which is bigger than themselves”. After the film’s free preview screening there will be a Q&A and a mini live session by Blaue Blume.

CTM + First Flush

Only a couple of days ago, Cæcilie Trier revived her solo project CTM with a new single; “Cézanne” is an intriguing, mysterious, nearly haunting, experimental piece of music. Together with similarly unconventional Odense quartet First Flush, CTM will take in Vesterbro’s modern church space Absalon, where visuals will complete the experience.

Hôn vs. Harmonic Mind + support

Another pretty fresh “frontman-gone-solo” project within the Danish music scene is the one of The Rumour Said Fire’s Jesper Lidang. Last week, he released his debut album “White Lion” under the moniker HÔN. During the concert in Solbjerg Kirke’s high-vaulted church interior, fluid holograms and LED figures by visual artist group Harmonic Mind will accentuate HÔN’s catchy, multilayered pop tunes.

Born To Lose vs. Lorenzo “Guf” Woodrose

Take on a (drug free!) psychedelic trip with Lorenzo “Guf” Woodrose, frontman of the Danish “acid rock” band Spids Nøgenhat. The evening begins with the film “Born to Lose”, a portrait of this man and his complicated relation to fame and celebrity. After the documentary directed by Palle Demant, Lorenzo Woodrose will give an intimate solo concert.
