When WhoMadeWho popped into the Tivoli last night as part of the Fredagsrock concert series, they were immediately put to work trying to rouse the crowd from their zombified state. An odd mix of punters filled the Tivoli gardens; tourists, children and WhoMadeWho fans made for a peculiar concert atmosphere.

However, the trio stepped up to the challenge, playing fervently through their catalogue of masculine 80’s influenced dance rock. In particular, lead singer Jeppe Kjellberg was in spectacular form. Donning a moustache reminiscent of Freddy Mercury’s luscious upper-lip locks, he had the crowd transfixed on his front man pomp.

Highlight from the night was “The Morning”, which descended into WhoMadeWho’s infamous cover of Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction”. The band well and truly resuscitated the crowd, making a party where few bands could.
