Penny Police and her music always brighten up even the worst day and we are thrilled that this wonderful, super talented singer-songwriter is back with a new single – “Mirror, Mirror”.

Listening to the new Penny Police single feels like coming home from a long, long journey. It is so nice to know that this lovely Copenhagen-based artist is still a part of the Danish music scene and has the unique ability to delight us with her music and gentle, thoughtful lyrics.

Penny Police’s melancholic vocal is like a musical mist, enveloping the music. It always had this very special touch – she sounded sad in a way, but at the same time, her voice had the ray of hope coming out, comforting the listener. In “Mirror, Mirror” this unique quality shows up again. The song blossoms with every second, until the hopeful and bright final where Penny Police sings “it’s gonna be just fine” while joyful trumpets play in the background. And you feel she means it. And everything really will be alright.

Some songs show up just at the right moment for us. For me, the new Penny Police single came out when I needed a hug and safe space to clear my head and put things in order, re-define some stuff, find a new meaning. “Mirror, Mirror” has built a musical bubble which allowed me to do all that while feeling supported by the music. I sincerely hope the song will give each of you what you need from it as well.

Can’t wait to hear more from Penny Police. It’s good to have her back. Good to feel back home to her music.
