Intense symbols. Poetic lyrics. Electrifying beat. Multilayered spheres. Clear message. Exaggerations, you might think? No, we are just trying to find words to describe Lydmor’s new track “Claudia”. A song that has amazed us from head to toe – and keeps doing so – since we have heard it for the first time some weeks ago.

Enriched with influences from Lydmor’s stay in Shanghai in 2016, the song boasts with energetic electro-beats and strong, catchy lyrics. Using punchlines like “Behold money, I am a woman”, the Copenhagen-based Jenny Rossander aka. Lydmor verbalizes a female declaration of power against the patriarchy.

“The lyrics are a poem detailing how a rich man completely changes a woman’s life, but in the end she appears victorious. A feminist manifest for sure and a song about the horrible power tools grounded in sexuality, money, politics and submission. Based on personal experiences and presented as disguised art” – Lydmor explains in an interview.

And “Claudia” is only the start of what we can expect from Lydmor – who never seems to cease, but continue to evolve and verbalize her inner self even stronger from track to track. Her current single is also taking us one step closer to her upcoming album “I Told You I’d Tell Them Our Story” which she’ll launch on 28. September.

But of course Lydmor will not stop with her new album. We will also be able to see her live – and that, believe us,  is the even more exciting part, which anyone who ever saw her on stage will confirm.
