It was not an easy choice, but these are my highlights (all Danish of course ;) ) from these year’s SPOT Festival line-up:
1. Kill J
She is right now my favorite Danish artist, her debut EP “Quasi” came out last month and it’s quite impressive. This girl got so much talent, no suprises she was invited also to this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin. I think many of you agree with me when I say that she is going to be one of the rising stars of Danish music soon.
2. Liss
LISS‘ latest single “Sorry” was not only among Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World selection on BBC1, but also Pharrell Williams played it in his radio show. It’s not a suprise actually – this song is really catchy, it’s in my head since weeks. The guys are on tour across Europe right now, but they stop by to play in Aarhus too.
3. Quick Quick Obey
My very first contribution to Good because Danish was a review of Quick Quick Obey’s debut album “Bulb Days” – they are close to my heart ever since, I absolutely loved that album. Now, in 2016 the band is returning with material, which I am really excited for. If you want to hear Quick Quick Obey‘s new songs, do not miss their show at SPOT Festival.
