Katrine Stochholm isn’t a new name in the Danish music industry. Actually, she was a member of the well-known Danish band Under Byen and also released an EP with Islets of Dust. Now it’s high time Katrine started a solo career.
“En Dejlig Aften, Stille Sølvklart Vandet” is the title of her first single from the upcoming album “Danser Til Radio” being recorded under the label from Aarhus – Sound of Perpetual Astonishment.
The music was composed by Katrine herself, Jonas Tranberg, a producer who used to cooperate with Efterklang, was responsible for mixing and mastering. However, the author of the lyrics is Emil Aarestrup – the Danish 19th century poet whose words are still timeless and universal.
The song is well-equipped with fresh beats, gentle piano and a subtle but also vivid voice. It leads our attention slowly to the last sound that could last forever. “En Dejlig Aften” is a kind of support during the cold evenings when people deeply miss the long and sunny summer. On the other hand, it’s an expression of the celebration of nature and life that should stay in harmony.
Katrine Stochholm’s music moves and relaxes even the most disturbed souls. It seems to be a perfect proposition for still, cool days – but not only.
