Tomas Barfod will release his new EP “Glory” on 13. November and after listening to the first single from it, we sincerely cannot wait for this release!
How not to be excited when you hear about the great Mr. Barfod joining forces with the young, beautiful and (what’s the most important) talented rising stars of electronic and pop music, Sekuoia and Kill J?
In “Glass Slipper” each piece of the unique trio adds its own special touch and in the end we receive an electronic, atmospheric gem. The song makes the listener think. Every sound moves the brain cells to dance and create a chain of thoughts and dreams.
The beats delivered by Tomas Barfod and Sekuoia are like a carpet of autumn leaves on which Kill J’s vibrant voice falls down like a gentle raindrop. Everything happens so slowly in “Glass Slipper” and yet – you’re surprised that it’s over when you hear the last sound.
I often suggest on Good because Danish that there is something that I call “Danish-ness” – a certain, unexplainable mix of mystery, melancholia and hygge attitude that makes Danish music (especially electronic music) so unique and special. Tomas Barfod’s new single “Glass Slipper” is a perfect example of this “Danish-ness”.
