The smell of cotton candy, liquorice and typical Danish Pølser in the air, the sun had just set when the Fredagsrock-arena in Copenhagen’s Tivoli got crowded. Crowded for Tina Dico’s show at the popular concert series in the world’s second oldest amusement park, right in the center of Copenhagen.
Right on time, at 10pm, a glamorous Tina Dico, all in black and orange, entered the stage and opened the show with “As far as love goes”.
Was it the summer spirit of this perfect Copenhagen August night or was it Tina’s energy that she put into the following songs like “Spark” or “Haunted” that made the crowd moving and singing along with her almost from the first moment on. Lines like “You do it all for someone you love” or “Don’t stop following your heart” let everyone’s emotions run free and enjoy the summer night at Tivoli just a little bit more.
At the latest, she had the crowd, with one of her best known hits called “Copenhagen” – basically a love hymn for the Danish capital. The song followed a melodic Danish song about Aarhus, which is Tina’s hometown.
So, whenever you want to enjoy a purely Danish summer night, have an emotional evening or just want to sing along with a bunch of engaging songs don’t miss out on an evening with Tina Dico. And whoever missed her this summer – there are some autumn gigs in Europe coming up with her as well. Check them out HERE or soon on Good because Danish. Don’t miss out!
