To my ears, Blaue Blume have never sounded better than this. They have taken their unique watercolour world and made it their own with “Thinking of Roxy”.
The song itself is not an instant breaking wave, but a slowly rising tide, peaking and breaking towards the final crescendo. With a few listens, the emotional impact of Jonas Smith’s sweet gruff tones and the band’s on point pacing shines through.
