Roskilde Festival 2015 is coming closer and with it once again a week-long celebration of music, summer and life. Among the 175 confirmed acts of this year’s line-up, you can find besides all international names also a great bunch of local acts from Denmark. They will not only perform during the main festival days, but to fire up the festival in style a big part will already play the warm-up days on the Roskilde Rising and Apollo Countdown stages.

To help you put together your personal festival schedule, Good because Danish will introduce a couple Danish names in our “ID”-series for Roskilde Festival 2015 – today with the profile of dreamy indie-folk band The Attic Sleepers:

Name: The Attic Sleepers
Date, Time and Stage of Roskilde show: Monday, 29. June – 14:00 – Rising // Event on Facebook
Genre: Indie/pop/folk
Number of band members: 2 (live 4)
Homebase: Copenhagen
Roskilde Festival is… a 7 day long party with lots of great music and friendly people.
Favourite Roskilde Festival memory: Sigur Rós 2006 at Arena Stage. No doubt. We were a big group of guys who went and and a lot of the others didn’t know anything about the band. It was a magical and very emotional concert, and even some of the guys who normally listen to Kanye West, Rihanna and the likes, were very touched by the concert. The only downside is, that we’re not sure we’ll ever experience a concert like that again.
Name of (imaginary) Roskilde camp: Camp Paperine
Must-see show at Roskilde Festival 2015: The War On Drugs. We saw them back in 2011 at a packed and extremely hot Loppen, so we’re really looking forward to seeing them perform on a bigger and hopefully a bit cooler place. And what better stage than Arena – our favorite stage at Roskilde.
Roskilde-virgin or Roskilde-veteran? Veteran. Been going for the past 11/12 years
Party camps or “silent and clean“ area? That’s a tough one. We love the partying at night, but this year we’ve actually rented a camper. We’ve become quite fond of sleeping and we need our quiet morning coffee – also we are a bit tired of all those youngsters with all their big speakers blasting off stupid techno songs 24/7 (Yes we know! – Grandpa’s speaking)
Beer or Vodka? Beer, but after a few days you need something stronger to get you going and the good old vodka/Red Bull is always a winner – but beer just tastes better.
Warm-up concerts or main festival days? Main Festivals – there’s just so much good music. But we do love the warm-up concerts as well. It’s great to get a break from just hanging around your camp to go and experience new or known music.
Gringo Nachos or Buggi Burger? …what about a mix? The pizza burger is pretty famous already, why not make a Nacho Burger?
Shower or no shower? No shower. It’s too much of a hassle, it costs money and we hate waiting in line. And we’re old and grumpy (and also we always smell really good, so why should we bother?).
