Are you wondering what to do and where to go in Denmark this summer, to have an unforgettable time with awesome music played in a great atmosphere? There are definitely a lot of different and exciting events to choose from throughout the country… to make the decision somewhat easier, we picked ten that we recommend you to go to this summer. Below we added some short info, so you can find out where the selected events are located and – with the added short clips from their last editions – even get a first impression of the atmosphere and see how it looked like last summer. Good because Danish managed to visit a few of the chosen events last year and we really hope to say “Hej!” to you on some of them this year as well. Throughout the summer, Pumpehuset and its unbelievably cozy backyard turn once again into a regular meeting spot for Copenhageners to enjoy some cold after-work-beer and some free evening concerts. We admittedly hung there A LOT last year – and you’ll surely catch us there again during this season!

Aalborg has something to say when it comes to summer events as well. This year, another edition of On Air Festival – organized by Aalborg Student Radio – will kick off at Studenterhuset. Seems like it will be a cool party!
ROSKILDE FESTIVAL

Last year, Good because Danish got the chance to experience Roskilde Festival for the first time. Starting from the warm up days, listening to some awesome music during the official part of the event and experiencing the atmosphere on the camping side of Roskilde Festival – we’ve done it all! We hope to be back again this year – but YOU should definitely pack your bags and GO!

The set-up of Musik i Lejet in the North of Denmark’s biggest island Sjælland really sounds (and looks!) like the perfect story-book summer festival: beach, dancing, sunsets, friends and of course, awesome music! Seems like we need to finally check it out this year, doesn’t it?
TRAILERPARK FESTIVAL

Good because Danish loves Trailerpark Festival! This small, cozy festival located at the CPH Skatepark has the charm like no other summer event. Once again we had a lovely time there last year. And we won’t miss the 2015 edition for sure. If you want to see what’s best in Danish music, art, design and life style – this is the place to go!
SMUKFEST
05-10.08.2015 – Skanderborg: the beech forest of Skanderborg – Event on Facebook
How about combining your love for music and nature? Nothing easier than going to Skanderborg for Smukfest. It’s a festival taking place literally IN the woods and at a lake, near the city of Skandeborg. The wonderful location and its “picnic atmosphere” make the trip to this festival a special experience. You can try it this year!
NEW NOTE FESTIVAL

The wonderful volunteer initiative New Note Festival is celebrating its 10. anniversary this year with yet another amazing line-up! We managed to experience the festival’s unique and intimate atmosphere last year – and a birthday edition is just one very good reason more to come back in 2015.

Good because Danish is into young, upcoming Danish bands and so is UHØRT Festival. Last year we had a great clousure of our festival season there. How about doing it again this year? Join us!

For all of you who are fans of electronic music – STRØM Festival is a celebration of it, that you want to be a part of. You can experience international and Danish electronic acts playing shows around different indoor and outdoor venues in Copenhagen, sharing love to music in a great atmosphere. This year’s biggest hit in the line-up is definitely the Flying Lotus concert at VEGA.
