Sherpa - Broken

Those of you who have paid much attention to the vital music scene of Denmark during the last months will already be familiar with the following artist. For the rest of you I proudly present you Carsten Sherpa Eliasen, better known as Copenhagen-based musician Sherpa.

In the beginning of this week Sherpa presented his new track “Broken” and continues hereby his ongoing series of monthly releases.

Although his forerunner tracks “Tear Us Apart” and “Burn” already prove his manifoldness in the Electro/Synth genre, “Broken” left no doubt at all when it comes to his ability for creating catchy and rousing indie songs and additionally serves as starting shot for the upcoming summer season.

“Broken” is characterized by its harmonic interplay of lugubrious melodies and thoughtful lyrics, but is also featured by a quite liberating and hortative mood. Latter is due to the remaining creative parts of Sherpa, in particular drummer Morten Hellborn and producer Tore Nissen (who successfully managed the combination of indie and electro with Danish singer Oh Land as well!).

According to his ongoing development, we can be more than excited to see Sherpa and his balancing act between different genres, but “Broken” is definitely a good appetizer for the next couple of weeks.
