Since we first stumbled upon Fjer’s music, we couldn’t resist to keep on coming back to the world Maja Barløse creates in her songs. The conceptual debut EP “Beautiful Home”, released in fall 2014, “builds a peaceful but at the same time melancholic atmosphere”. This unique atmosphere can be seen and felt in the newest video to the song “Stairs” – which Good because Danish is proud to present to you in a special premiere today.
The song comes from the “Beautiful Home” EP and “tells of a frightened soul that has to build up obstacles in order to avoid opening up and letting others come too close. The story unfolds in upward arpeggiators , the real sounds of household utensils and a propulsive beat.”
The video to the track is a great motion picture, painting what the music says in its own visual words. We can watch a small girl, going up and down the stairs of an empty school, getting an opportunity to look into her own future and face the older version of herself. Does she like what she sees?
Fjer shows an intriguing story in the new video clip (directed by Peter Anthony Red) – and asks an interesting question: would you be tempted to have a glimpse of your own future? What would that knowledge give you? Could you change the upcoming events or would fate do its job anyway?
