SPOT Festival 2015

In the end of this month Good because Danish will once again be lucky to go to Aarhus for SPOT Festival. The 2015 edition takes place in the wonderful Danish city between 30. April and 3. May. This annual celebration of music and film brings a lot of amazing artists to Aarhus – and the musical line-up is once again filled with some truly great names.

In this year’s series of “pre-SPOT posts” we’d like to focus on these rather “untouched” ones – fresh blood, big hopes and maybe future favourites – our hopes for SPOT Festival 2015. Suiting to the year, our recommendations will contain 15 acts that we find interesting and worth checking out. You can find the first 10 HERE and HERE and the last 5 below. See you in Aarhus!

Esben Svane is no really new name on the Danish music scene, yet his new project surely is. It sounds as if The Tallest Man On Earth went drinking with Boombay Bicycle Club somewhere in Scandinavia. We’ll see how it works live!

Check out the debut album on Spotify.

M’era Luna presents “Nordic goth & industrial night” – and we like it! We hear the darkness of Ville Valo’s (HIM) vocals and the athmosphere of Joy Division albums. Now, let’s see if this band can keep our attention for longer than one song.

Listen to Private Pact’s “Everything” on YouTube.

Their fragileness, the vocals that sound like singing roses (if flowers could sing) and the delicate touch of retro vibe – ONBC has a potential that we want to check out live at SPOT!

Find their song “White Trash” on YouTube.

Seems like there will be a dose of GREAT rock music at SPOT this year. We’re curious if Black Book Lodge can make us shiver with their live music as much as when we listened to their debut album.

Listen to it out on Spotify!

Over 3000 people who voted for them can’t be wrong, can they? Oliver Blank won their place at SPOT in KarriereKanonen‘s contest and we believe that they will show the highest class on stage.

Hear their powerful electro pop in the song “Loving You.
