SPOT Festival 2015

In the end of this month Good because Danish will once again be lucky to go to Aarhus for SPOT Festival. The 2015 edition takes place in the wonderful Danish city between 30. April and 3. May. This annual celebration of music and film brings a lot of amazing artists to Aarhus – and the musical line-up is once again filled with some truly great names.

In this year’s series of “pre-SPOT posts” we’d like to focus on these rather “untouched” ones – fresh blood, big hopes and maybe future favourites – our hopes for SPOT Festival 2015. Suiting to the year, our recommendations will contain 15 acts that we find interesting and worth checking out. You can find the first 5 HERE and the next 5 below. See you in Aarhus!

Big Dust - SPOT15BIG DUST

This is a combination of the best that Denmark has to offer: melancholic guitar sounds + dark electronic. Let’s see how this mix works live!

Listen to Big Dust’s music on SoundCloud.

SPOT15-SweetJesus17SWEET JESUS 17

An official band picture coming straight out of a Japanese photobooth and selftitled “lo-fi emo” music that at times sounds like candy floss is enough to get us hooked!

Listen to supersweet Sweet Jesus 17 on Bandcamp.

Rest In Beats - SPOT15REST IN BEATS

This duo combines pop, hip hop and the Danish language in a mix of the weirdest, craziest sound. We’re  excited to see if the energy of the tracks is present on stage as well.

Find Rest In Beats’ music on their website.

Spot2015-WATWFTCTKIWE ARE THE WAY FOR THE COSMOS TO KNOW ITSELF

Ever since “Tiger” we are impatiently waiting for more from WATWFTCTKI. They’re also awesome live = a must-see!

Check out “Tiger” on SoundCloud.

CHINAH - SPOT15CHINAH

We trust that the Godfathers of Good because Danish – Turboweekend – had a good reason to take CHINAH along as support on their Denmark tour. We’re curious what it is!
