LisaAlma-ManEven though spring just began a couple of days ago, we should take a short moment and listen to the last remains of melancholic winter season.

One of them is Lisa Alma, Copenhagen-based singer and producer and one of Denmark’s most promising talents, who came to the fore with her latest track “Man”.

The secret mixture of her successful songs like “Bittersweet” and “When I Knew” can be found in her latest masterpiece as well – propulsive synth beats with contradicting piano elements and her powerful but also vulnerable voice, which creates a really senseful atmosphere.

All this is supported with a more then understated music video, which represents Lisa Alma’s preference for simplicity and black/white visualisations.

Lisa Alma knows how to emphasize the effect of her lyrics to “Man” by focusing on several aspects – change of moods, repetition of her lyrics and strong focus of mouth and eye as most honest expression of people’s feelings.

With the increasing looseness of the song, Lisa Alma literally says goodbye to winter’s dullness and heralds the new season – and without any doubt this catchy song has the potential to follow us through the next months (and hopefully to prevent us from all the kitschy pop love songs which are coming soon).

You should definitely have a look on Lisa Alma’s “Man” and check out her other music as well!
