Waldo & Marsha are ready to conquer the world it seems like. Their international debut EP should be out in the nearest future and after “Losing You Forever” we can now enjoy listening to the second single from it – “You’re The Woman I Desire”.
While the first song from the upcoming EP had a hint of melancholy in it, this one is – musically – pure joy and fun! Waldo & Marsha once again managed to combine quirky-sounding vocals (no offense, I love it!), retro sound, the special touch of “Danishness” and a fusion of happiness and sadness, that makes you wonder “should I laugh or cry to this song?”.
I chose option number 1 this time. “You’re The Woman I Desire” is an old-school musical declaration of love, that you have to smile to. It might sound a little bit naive, but if I was “the woman they desire”, I’d follow Waldo & Marsha after hearing the song’s statement. Because I hear the echoes of good old Madness and The Beatles (as well as the Danish Oh No Ono) mixed together in a composition perfect for a hot summer love song.
