Time flies, yet another year is coming to an end. And what a great year 2014 was for us at Good because Danish!
January was filled with quite some work load in our “headquarters”, since we started with a needed change into the year: we moved to our new own domain www.goodbecausedanish.com and in this context, launched a newly designed website in early March. The hard work paid off, we got some nice compliments for our new look (thanks!) and the move definitely improved our way of blogging a lot.
Little did we know about what an insane festival season, the traditional visit to SPOT Festival in May would kick off! Among all the beautiful festivals we were able to visit in- and outside of Denmark, our debut at Roskilde Festival was definitely our top 1 festival highlight this year. Experiencing Roskilde with its warm-up days, its music and its whole atmosphere was a huge, shared dream come true!
Another great experience was seeing little Good because Danish develop: not only did our base of friends and supporters grow (we hit the magical number of 1000 Likes on Facebook. Yay!), but also our blog’s team got extended by a lovely bunch of great, talented writers and photographers – all being the most amazing people, too! To cherish and introduce these personalities behind the names you regularly read on the blog, we run a little series of “GbD Author Takeovers” in August and September.
Now, not so long after our Acoustic Autumn series with a suiting mixtape, the Christmas mood also hit us on Good because Danish. So, a few of our favourite bands* sent us some lovely, little Christmas greetings to share with you! Since we also wanted to take the chance to say “Merry Christmas”, you will be able to spot some faces of our international GbD team in the little video we put together below :)
We hope that you will stay with us in 2015! Also in the new year, we will work on improving Good because Danish and continue sharing new exciting things with you. But we wouldn’t be anywhere if it wasn’t for all our friends, readers and of course all good (because Danish) musicians! In this sense:
Have yourself a very Merry Christmas,
get well into the New Year and – THANK YOU!
Love from the GbD team: Arletta, Jasmin, Lizethe, Ágnes, Magda, Kasia, Nick, Flo, Elvira and Ania
*Special thank you to: Magnus (Heimatt), Brian (Sleep Party People), Kasper (CODY) and Tobias (October Dance).
