The golden rule #1: The setting of an acoustic concert can make a good performance great.

What I actually mean is that the magical atmosphere of an acoustic session deeply depends on the right choice of the location. Salut Chérie has chosen a really extraordinary and unique setting for the live performance of “You’re the Ghost” – the Royal Cast Collection in Copenhagen.

Encircled by statues from the ancient world and cable tangles all over the place, she incarnates the symbiosis of modern folk music and timeless appearance. Especially the black/white visualization of the video increases the clearly marked effect of her lyrics: You’re the ghost that always follows me / it’s been forever but I still can’t flee / stay away from your part of town / and your places where you might been.

Luckily Salut Chérie abdicates cheap razzle-dazzle and only relies on the support of her band members, a guitar and a blues-like harmonica. Her vulnerable appearance and this lovely angel face are able to create some goose bumps on your skin and get stucked in your head as well!
