It’s funny to write about a song sung in Danish without knowing the language. It’s a bit like making a blind person describe van Gogh paintings. But I’ll try it anyway, as they say that music is a universal language.

The Danish group Love Shop released a new song in September, along with a lyrics video made by Nick Lee. The single is called “I Morgen” (“Tomorrow”) and takes us on a journey to the land of scratchy, raw, simple yet somehow sophisticated electro-pop music.

There is something touching in the song and the lyrics video to it. The hand-filmed clip showing a road passing by has a dose of unexplainable melancholy in itself. You start to watch it and even though there is nothing really going on during the 3:35 minutes, you can’t keep your eyes of it.

There is a kind of roughness in “I Morgen”, which we all feel sometimes when we have to get up on another morning and we have the feeling that this life is just so grey and meaningless. Some days just ain’t so easy and that’s what the new Love Shop songs reminds us about.

Watch the lyrics video to “I Morgen” above and keep in mind that the band will release their new album on 20. October 2014.
