Hit The Hay

This time a band called Hit The Hay is being introduced to the blog. They come from Copenhagen ready to charm with their easy-going soft pop-rock.

So far, Hit The Hay have just released a couple of songs, fortunately they said on their FB page that there’s more stuff on the way.

I was instantly hooked by their composition “Long Way Home”, especially the studio live version, not because the other version isn’t good enough but in the live version you can see how much they love and enjoy what they do, they really manage to transmit that passion to the listener. You can get a hold of the other studio version here.

Hit The Hay not only write in English but also in Danish – a proof is “Strandet”, which only shows how multifaceted they can be, and at times a bit wistful.

“Never Wanted Out” is the band’s latest work – a new recording of an old song, according to them. A very mellow tune carrying caressing guitars and warm vocals perfect for finding some coziness.

We can only be patient to see what this project brings to us in the future. Hit The Hay, we’ll be watching you!
