There’s not many good female drummers. And also not many who sing well. But if you like Baby in Vain then you surely know Benedicte Pierleoni, who is talented in more than just those two fields.
Not so long time ago she decided to go her own path. She grabbed a guitar and started to create her own music as Bene which presents her much softer side. Her songs are quirky and thoughtful, accompanied by the instruments she plays herself.
“Bene’s universe evolves around her everyday life and odd situations she might find herself in – it is simplistic and personal, yet with a detailed storyline and structure. She is not constrained by genres, but tries to show the simplicity in songwriting by playing and recording everything herself.”
Her first single “The Mood” is a nice pop song with a gentle sound of a guitar and quite strong drum. Maybe it’s nothing that you haven’t heard before – but you’ll like the story. And it’s a dose of pleasant vibes for autumn afternoons.
