The lovely Copenhagen-based band white ocean released their second LP “Haze” on 25. August 2014. The album charmed us with its unique kind of melancholia and the longing for the good old times locked in the songs.
Today, on 19. September 2014, Good because Danish is happy to present an exclusive sneak-premiere of the band’s video clip to the second single taken from “Haze” – the wonderful composition “Emotion”!
“This video was filmed at Feøy, a small island on the west coast of Norway. Only 30 people live there. Our drummer Jesper Dyhrberg edited the clip, which fits perfectly the lyrics of “Emotion”” (white ocean)
The delicate joy and memories of the summertime which you can hear in the song are also present in the video clip. The warm water reflecting the rays of sunshine, pictures of an idyllic boat cruise and time spent with the loved ones – warm feelings are coming to us every second of the clip. It is like a wonderful motion picture postcard from the childhood. Which is true to some extent, since the video clip is related to the area where the band’s lead singer and lyricist – Thor Christer Nagell – grew up.
As we wrote in the post about white ocean’s new album: “There is some kind of magic in “Haze”; white ocean created a record which has the power to take us back to the past.” We can surely say the same about the video clip to “Emotion” – it’s full of peace and brings back the good memories.
