Nordic Delight Festival 2014 - blog 1Culture, lifestyle and music from Northern Europe has especially in the last couple of years aroused a lot of interest in other European countries and all over the world. The fascination for Nordic fashion brands, TV series, films, Scandinavian design and Northern musical genius reaches also more and more people in the Netherlands.

So, it’s not by chance that the Dutch initiative Nordic Delight began to create a platform for all these facets together, by introducing new artists at smaller events during the year – but also at a bigger one once a year: Nordic Delight Festival.

On Saturday, 4. October 2014, at the second edition of this very special festival in Utrecht, you can not only discover exciting new music from Northern Europe, but also many other Scandinavian delights in the fields of film, food, fine arts and design.

The location of this year’s Nordic Delight Festival will be more than unique: the medieval buildings of Centraal Museum Utrecht have a character suiting to the mysterious North. Throughout the day there’ll be performances in the fairytale monastery garden or in a newly designed garden room – and festival visitors will have access to the museum’s current exhibition.

Among other Nordic talents, also the Danish music scene will be of course well represented in Utrecht: Get Your Gun, The 1st, Sekuoia, Blaue Blume, Heimatt and Ghost Venue will all take a trip to the Netherlands for Nordic Delight Festival.
