Ønskeøen, the new Danish supergroup (consisting of members from CODY, The Rumour Said Fire, Sleep Party People and From Sarah), came up with a concept of releasing their new material. Each month ’til the end of the year they will share 1 song and video clip. After “Baby Cigarettes” and “Sleeping Is Free” , July brought us a third one – “Bricks of Time”.
The slightly melancholic and dreamy mood of the song makes Ønskeøen’s music perfect for a lazy day spent in the sun.
“Bricks of Time” is a nice song for any time of the year, but somehow – it fits the heat wave that we are experiencing right now better than many other tunes. When your brain and body are both melting, it’s nice to listen to music which doesn’t attack your ears too much, which has some kind of smooth summer atmosphere locked in sounds, which isn’t overwhelming, but comforting in a way. Like a slight gust of wind…
