Hey, it’s Spring already! That means – it’s time to make festival plans for the upcoming weeks and months! Denmark, even though it’s a small country, offers a lot of events to choose from. Check out the following (Good because) Danish events that we picked out and put together for you!

Offspring
25-26.04.2014 – Copenhagen: Tivoli – Event on Facebook
Due to last year’s successful Fredagsrock Festival, the wonderful Tivoli gardens in Copenhagen will now be hosting Offspring – a 2 days long mini-festival with 40 bands playing on 5 stages. The Eclectic Moniker, Kill J, Mont Oliver, Den Fjerde Væg or Ginger Ninja are just a few names from a very rich and various line-up.
SPOT Festival
01-04.05.2014 – Aarhus: different venues – Event on Facebook
The best upcoming Danish (and Nordic) bands presenting themselves to music professionals and an interested audience and well established acts trying out new things – that’s what SPOT Festival is all about! For the second summer now, Copenhagen’s music venue Pumpehuset is opening its cozy city garden for all kinds of hygge and free open-air concerts! This year’s line-up is filled to the brim with promising, young Danish musicians: Paper Tigers, De Dødelige, Heimatt, Chamber Junkie or Esben Svane are just very few of the acts worth checking out.
PB43 præsenterer
17-18.05.2014 – Copenhagen: Prags Boulevard 43 – Event on Facebook
Prags Boulevard 43 on Amager in Copenhagen will welcome some of the best Danish alternative bands this May. Cody, Speaker Bite Me, Sleep Party People, SVIN, Shiny Darkly and many more will definitely make the weekend memorable for everyone who will attend the second edition of the PB43 præsenterer event.
DISTORTION
04-08.06.2014 – Copenhagen: all over the city! – Event on Facebook
Distortion is a city-festival like no other. Each year the streets of Copenhagen’s different neighbourhoods change into a huge party with concert fields and venues are pulsing from electronic beats. Danish acts are in the line-up along with international stars: this year Noisia and Boys Noize will come to Copenhagen among others.
NorthSide Festival
13-15.06.2014 – Aarhus: Ådalen – Event on Facebook
The cool Aarhus-based festival manages to collect year after year outstanding stars for its line-up and gives a very good example of how a music festival should grow. With Pixies, Queens Of The Stone Age or Arcade Fire and some great Danish acts like Turboweekend, Quadron or MØ, NorthSide 2014 will be an awesome way to spend summer time!
Roskilde Festival
25.06.-06.07.2014 – Roskilde: Event on Facebook
If you are a music lover, you definitely know this one! Roskilde Festival is one of the biggest and most prestigious summer festivals in Europe. This year the festival will welcome The Rolling Stones as headliner and many more great musicians, including a lot of Danish artists worth checking out. Musik i Lejet
17-19.07.2014 – Tisvildeleje: Event on Facebook
Musik i Lejet – this lovely event in the North of Denmark’s biggest island Sjælland, combines some of the best things about summer: the beach, time spent with friends, dancing and of course – music! Great Danish acts like Blaue Blume, Navneløs, Choir of Young Believers or Karl William will play in the festival’s nice surroundings this year.
Trailerpark Festival
31.07.-03.08.2014 – Copenhagen: Copenhagen Skatepark – Event on Facebook
Each year the cool people from ArtRebels transform the CPH Skatepark into an area where music meets art. On the specially designed stages, Danish and international bands create a chilling atmosphere – the perfect surroundings to spend some time relaxing in the middle of summer! Good because Danish will definitely be hanging around Trailerpark Festival this year.
New Note Festival
06-09.08.2014 – Hillerød: Event on Facebook
Based on 100% volunteer work, this lovely festival in Hillerød (a city north of Copenhagen famous for its pretty castle) is a great example for passion and dedication in and around music. Bands like When Saints Go Machine, Treefight for Sunlight, 4 Guys From The Future or Sekuoia in the line-up show that New Note Festival is in no way inferior to profit motivated events.
Smukfest
06-10.08.2014 – Skanderborg: Event on Facebook
If you ever wondered how it’d be to attend a music event in the middle of a forest – Smukfest is the answer. Based in the picturesque area of Skanderborg, the festival is literally happening IN THE woods! With two main stages right next to each other and several smaller ones in the nice surroundings, it has a very special atmosphere worth experiencing yourself.
