“You never seem to make up your mind” – Fine Glindvad’s voice appears within the first lines of CHINAH’s new song “Minds” and I’m tempted to answer: “No, it’s not true, I have made up my mind – I like this song and yes, I like this band”. But apart from this, what is this song actually about?
With “Minds” it is the third time this year that CHINAH delights us with a fabulous new piece of Danish electro-pop. Perfectly matching the first and second singles – “Away From Me” and “We Go Back” – “Minds” is another touching track by the Copenhagen based band about uncertainty and a constant yearning.
The new song mixes electro-pop textures with synths and electronic drums and manages, just as the other two CHINAH songs, to create a very special atmosphere that starts to become really characteristic for the band.
“Minds” has the power to just drag you away from where you are from the very first second with its touchy and rhythmic melody, but right when you start dreaming away, Fine, front singer of the band, catches you with her clear and gloomy voice and you are right back on track and ready to follow the progress of the song.
All good things are three – this seems to be really true when it comes to CHINAH and 2015. But three songs of the band are definitely not enough – so, dear CHINAH, just go on like that and we are looking forward to a fabulous, melancholic-melodic and dreamy-danceable 2016 with you!
