Christmas shots - PALACE WINTER

Christmas time is here, everybody! This year Good because Danish wants to celebrate it by giving a little inside look into what Danish artists love about this time of the year. We asked a bunch of lovely musicians to finish five sentences for us, so you can find out what their favourite things about Christmas are!

We finish our series of “5 shots (of Christmas schnapps) with the wonderful Australian-Danish duo Palace Winter, who released their great debut EP “Medication” this year. The Danish part of the duo – Caspar Hesselager (a.k.a. My Heart The Brave) shared some personal favorite things about Christmas with us below.

Ho-ho-hope you liked our little holiday special and that you can spend a cozy time with your loved ones – no matter if you celebrate Christmas or not!

The best thing about Christmas is the Christmas food. So much good stuff that you don’t eat that often. Marcipan in particular (Carl hates it)

A “Julefrokost” I will never forget was when me and my friend Morten crashed a big julefrokost once at a University, and he ended up playing classical pieces on his guitar for a huge audience. I think they paid us in food (or maybe threw us out? Can’t remember).

If I could be Santa Claus for one night, I would set the reindeer free. They’ve worked enough. And Santa’s earned a private jet by now.

My biggest wish for 2016 is to be able to release and make music, very simple. Our album is finished now and that will come out in 2016, which excites us a LOT! Looking forward to playing some great shows and hopefully going to travel.

Last but not least: my favorite Christmas song… Not being a big fan of very Christmas’y sounding music, I would have to say my friend Jonas’ (Hymns from Nineveh) song “Anywhere with you”, which I had the pleasure of mixing, from his Christmas theme album “Endurance in Christmas Time”. It’s just such a good song and one you can actually listen to all year :)
