Kill J is well-known for her harsh and blunt style of freaky alternative pop, but the official video for her recently released worldwide track “Cold Stone” is definitely nothing for the faint-hearted!

The common issue of group pressure and youth violence is perfectly visualized by portraying a girls gang and their daily routine – looking mean, drinking beer and hanging around.

Although the video seems more funny in the beginning, we suddenly face the change of atmosphere at night.

1. Bothering the society. Not cool.
2. Assault other people and stealing. Not cool.
3. Stealing a cutie pie dog and try to set it on fire? Way over the top!

All these crazy impressions are constantly contrasted by Kill J’s light voice and a vibrant melody, which emphasize the unreality of the whole video.

Probably this song is kind of autobiographical, especially since the video ends with the beaten-up good girl and Kill J next to her. Beside the shocking effect of “Cold Stone”, the song is a strict refusal of wrong friends and peer pressure as well.
