Good quitars, quirky vocals and the vibe of the 60’s or 70’s with the hype about freedom and love – that’s The 1st. A quartet that doesn’t care about the current trends in music. They play in good old-school style and I like it!

Based in Copenhagen, the quartet released their self-titled debut album “The 1st” already in May 2014 (via Drone Recordings). It took us a while to finally mention the band on the blog, but don’t blame us for the delay! Blame the music! Why? Because it’s like a drug. Once you start listening to it, you fly away and well… don’t feel like forcing your brain to come up with a nice written post. You just want to go crazy with The 1st. So that’s what you do. Or that’s what I’ve done.

It’s just good old rock’n’roll – not mixed with anything else – that makes The 1st’s music so cool. If you’re looking for a musical time machine – you just found it. Don’t fight with it, get hyped with songs like “Surrender” or “Rain It Down”. You’re up for one hell of a ride if you try The 1st.

Check out the band’s website, like them on Facebook and don’t miss the songs posted on Vimeo:
