Jens-Ulrik Kleemeyer - Maybe Some Time From Now

November is the kind of month that makes you being honest with yourself and the world. There is no flirty spring-vibes, no lazy outgoing summer-attitude, no winter wonderland. Just the raw autumn air, gloomy and grey images and darkness winning over the light. Always at this time of the year, I look for soothing and warm music, to make it easier to go along with the cold November reality. Some sounds to show that there is still beauty in this month, in its raw honesty.

This year one of the songs I come back to is the new solo single from Green Lives musician Jens-Ulrik Kleemeyer. After releasing a wonderful EP in 2013, he’s about to release some new music and the single “Maybe Some Time From Now” announces this new stuff. You can download the song for free from Jens-Ulrik Kleemeyer’s BandCamp page and I highly recommend you to do it!

“Maybe Some Time From Now” tells a story of something that probably each of us experienced in their life – the issue of the “right timing”. Sometimes it’s just not the right moment in life. Sometimes we have to figure things out by ourselves, have some time on our own. We have to leave in order to come back for real – which doesn’t mean that we burn all the bridges behind us. The lovely, melancholic song by Jens-Ulrik Kleemeyer is a beautiful way to explain this “not the right time” issue. We can think it’s an egoistic thing. But when things (or people) are worth waiting for, we know that “maybe some time from now I will come crying back to you”.

The beauty of this song is that it’s so simple. It’s a humble explanation of life’s choices, accompanied by the humble guitar and delicate drums. Because in real life there are no such big dramas as in the movies. Things are quiet and pretty simple. Sometimes you can’t help them and all you can do is to go with the flow. As you do, going with the flow of “Maybe Some Time From Now”, while listening to it.

Find “Maybe Some Time From Now” on Jens-Ulrik Kleemeyer’s BandCamp page and download the track for free from there.
