Santiago - Paranoia

The description “Indie/Folk/Americana” appears on their Facebook page and well, they know what kind of music they play! Santiago – a Copenhagen-based band – recently released a new song called “Paranoia” and Good because Danish got charmed by it!

Santiago debuted on the DK music scene with their EP “Everybody Knows I’m Haunted” from 2012. Somehow we missed it back then. Now we really regret! The band, which is clearly fascinated with the American music and reaches for country influences here and there, performs unpretentious compositions in a free, natural way. You can hear it on the EP and you can hear it in the new single.

“Paranoia” has no unnecessary tinsel. It’s pretty much just a simple song and oh, what a blast that is for the ears! Somehow, the vocals have some kind of David Bowie vibe, which has nothing to do with the “Americana” sound of the rest. And yet, it all fits together perfectly, with the scratchy guitar riffs fulfilling the whole.

Santiago made their mark on the Good because Danish music map of Denmark and this time we try not to miss anything new coming from them. We recommend you to do the same thing!
