One of our favorite online readings – the German musicblog Camels & Lions, is now bringing its fine music taste to the “offline world” and invited three great Danish acts to play at Copenhagen Calling – A Danish Music Night in Hamburg on Saturday, the 5. July 2014.

Among said Danish representatives that will play in the beautiful Northern German city is The Migrant: the folk pop band around Bjarke Bendtsen is combining inspirations of the American spirit with the Danish background and got described by Danish press as mixture of Fleet Foxes, Bonnie ”Prince” Billy and George Harrison. Also the next act and solo-project of singer Bastian Kallesøe, The New Spring, is moving within a musical universe of experimental and melodic folk songs. As another promising example of Denmark’s recent exports, young, exciting space-pop trio Ice Cream Cathedral will complete the Danish Music night’s line-up.

If all that is not enough to convince everyone in and around Hamburg to check out what Germany’s small neighbouring country has to offer – one last hint: the entry is free!
