Ludwig Van - San Franfiasco

The German-Danish band Ludwig van recently released a new album. The record is called “San Franfiasco”. As the cover suggests, the time of joyful fun and spring/summer happiness is here. The music also proves it. It’s not a fiasco at all, but a very decent indie-rock album.

Ludwig van announced the new album with the light, sunny, joyful single “Power”. The rest of the material on the album keeps the spirit of it. A few slower, calmer moments (like “Baltic Sea”) give you the feeling of chilling out in a hammock on a summer evening.

The title track “San Franfiasco” is a great example of Ludwig van‘s sound. A bit edgy and rough, with a melancholic sight to the British music from the 90’s in some songs. However, everything is very sleek and quite static in a way. Somehow like a smoothed version of Hard-Fi.

The album that you’re about to listen to won’t shock you. But it’s a good alternative to play on spring and summer days and evenings or on the road for the holidays. A summer soundtrack to whisper in the background of your adventures and crazy time.

Really cool tracks: “Power” and “Let Go of My Head”.
