Communions - Cobblestones EP

Forget What You Think You Might Know About the Copenhagen “Scene”

You can find everything in that sentence! If you check out Good because Danish from time to time, you know that the Danish music scene has a lot to offer in the matter of pop or electronic music and its combinations with rock and indie sounds. You are also familiar with the more melancholic, acoustic singer-songwriter side of Danish music.

What about punk tho? What about the dirty, garage, UK-inspired music? You’ve heard about Iceage and Lower, but is there nothing more?

Well, there is. Communions.

The band that came back to the roots of underground music. On their EP “Cobblestones” you can find a bunch of songs that are as pure and rough as they possibly can be. There is no lie and no over-creation in them. Just music of a group of guys with guitars, drums and punk souls (we suppose they have it in them simply).

It’s very refreshing to come back to how the music sounded like before computers took over the power and control of everything – on the production level, but also on the creative level.

We’re no specialists when it comes to such genre of music, we like electronics a lot, but we also really like the feeling of raw freshness that the “Cobblestones” EP provides.
