Agnes Obel released a new song from her upcoming album “Aventine” (premiere – 30th of September 2013).

“Fuel On Fire” somehow reminds me a story sang by Irish bard, somewhere in the deep woods during Middle Age. However, Agnes Obel creates also a second music picture in this composition – a picture of lonely princess, whispering her sad lullaby in the high tower where no prince will come.

I don’t know why “Fuel On Fire” reminds me about legends, myths and old stories, but that’s what it does with my imagination. Maybe it’s because of the sadness, maybe because of the fact that summer is gone and during autumn old stories are the best. No matter how many times you’ve heard them before, they surprise you and teach you.
