Now I really, really can’t wait to the debut album by RANGLEKLODS! The EP “Home” contained a bit cynical lyrics mixed with the extraordinary electronic. I was wondering “what more can he possibly do with his music?” after three such a good songs. Well, he did the impossible. He did “Clouds”. And it is good.Different atmosphere than on the EP, the echos of Twin Shadow music, but still the same addictive voice and the same addictive melody (well, not literally the same, but you know what I mean, right?). “Clouds” sounds nostalgically, like a longing for the times of great hits by Depeche Mode, Blondie or David Bowie. “Clouds” sounds nostalgically, like a music picture of a longing for an unnamed “something”.
And this intriguing female vocal in the background (Pernille Smith-Sivertsen) – “I told you that was nothing but a heartbeat”…
